My name is Henrietta. I am a 32-year-old widow and mother of two children. I started this business of raising chickens after my husband died in 2020. When good Samaritans came to greet me and helped me with a little money to start a business, I thought about what business to start. Finally, I came up with the idea of buying meat chickens and raising them. Since I started raising these chickens, I find myself hopeful that I can solve all of my financial problems through this business. Through raising chickens, I am able to feed my children and I, as well pay for water and electricity bills, clothes and school supplies for the children. After hearing about CII through Dickson, I found myself interested in their work and joined them officially. The problem I am going through is the lack of capital that will enable me to improve my breeding by ensuring the availability of vaccines, chicken feed, improving the shed and buying feeding equipment– in parallel with increasing the number of chickens. With your help, I will use the donations to develop myself economically through this chicken breeding project.
